The Silver Tree

Stephen Boyd Merriman I love this song’s energy and slightly crazy lyrics sung over a fantastically uplifting melody. The guitar playing is a tour de force, and the harp works in synergy, really vital and sounds like no harp I have heard before. This song is a genuine beauty. The other songs on the EP are as equally compelling and diffuse with warmth and generosity of spirit. The vocals on Ullin have an inimitable cadence and luminosity.

This has been a
wonderful case of serendipity.
Congratulations Other World. Favorite track: Ashram Traffic Jam.

A thousand miles to go meet the universe But she met me halfway, wish I'd put on my best shirt But she came like a thunderbolt like a lightning strike at the speed of light Traffic slowed to a grinding halt Headlights shining on paradise Co-ordinates unknown And there ain't no number to phone But that's where I found my home I got stuck in an Ashram Traffic Jam & I need to get back I got stuck in an Ashram Traffic Jam Please take me back Streaming eyes, connected lives I became the colours, frequencies of light She gave me back to eternity in the break lights of space and time Returned me back to this anatomy & in the blink of an eye changed the meaning of life Co-ordinates unknown And there ain't no number to phone But that's where I found my home I got stuck in an Ashram Traffic Jam & I need to get back I got stuck in an Ashram Traffic Jam Please take me back

We were two travellers with a suitcase full of gold Memories collected from all the places we'd been Nothing bought, and never ever to be sold Blessed with riches we couldn't have ever dreamed One more night before we'd be going home Rum and reggae dancing on a mountainside With no one there and no signal on the phone Grateful to be alone and so full of life Walking up to a silver tree, waking up to a silver tree The Earth and sun made for us to see Walking up to a silver tree, waking up to a silver tree It's true that awe always comes for free

Well I stopped believing in the things that I never thought could be true 'cos nothing ever happens when you're holding on so tight that your soul turns blue So I loosened my grip, let the cold run through, out with the old and in with the new The last thing I expected was to find the heaven of you When we let go, stop holding on The sun will shine as the rivers flow Let go, stop holding on Now that I'm not dreaming of all these things that were driving me out of mind I'm breathing with ease and life is a breeze; so blind becomes time Life knows these dreams like the rivers know streams, and the moon knows the tides But if one seeks control will the sea still rise? When we let go, stop holding on The sun will shine as the rivers flow Let go, stop holding on
